EASTERN ANALYTICAL SYMPOSIUM:

The Eastern Analytical Symposium is the second largest meeting of analytical chemists in the United States, behind the Pittsburgh Conference.  I was the first academic scientist to be President of EAS in 1992.  Connections to my industrial colleagues are highly values and I appreciate the  nature of the industrial chemist's work situation because of this association.  As shown below, I have served on virtually every committee of the Eastern Analytical Symposium.  Each year my department sponsors a bus trip for my students in quantitative analysis to visit the EAS
